This is not your average Cobra replica. It was professionally built by Southside Concepts in Woolwich as a showcase of their craftsmanship, and the quality is evident throughout. Correctly registered as a 2006 DAX Cobra, it was built using new parts and specified with some of the most desirable components available.

Importantly, this car is fitted with a Ford 351 Windsor V8, widely regarded as the correct and most desirable engine choice for an AC Cobra.

Engine and drivetrain

Power comes from a Ford 351 Windsor V8 turnkey engine supplied by The Engine Factory (USA), built with a proper performance specification and premium internals. It is paired with the highly desirable Tremec TKO 600 gearbox, offering strong performance with usable road manners.

The car has recently been tuned and serviced by MD Allen Engineering and is running exactly as it should.

The McLeod Series 500 clutch system (fork bearing and master cylinder) was replaced less than 500 miles ago at a cost of over £2,000.

Chassis and suspension

Built on a DAX De Dion chassis, first powder coated and then painted in silver clear-over-base, giving a very high-quality finish underneath. Coil-over suspension, a fully painted chassis, and twin 10-inch electric cooling fans complete the setup.

Exterior

The paintwork is exceptional. finished in a colour-shift tone that appears deep green/black in most light but reveals blue, purple and bronze hues in direct sunlight costing £10,000.00 All completed with chrome furniture.

Always stored in a heated, dehumidified garage and only used sparingly. which is reflected in the condition throughout.

Interior

Professionally trimmed by Alan Povey in two-tone tan and green leather, complemented by green Wilton carpets piped in tan leather. including the boot area. The cabin is in immaculate condition.

Includes fitted fire extinguisher, plus mohair roof and side screens stored neatly in the boot.
